crowd-pleasing spinach dip
Nothing brings a smile to a crowd quicker than a good spinach dip. This delectable appetizer will be a guaranteed sensation at any gathering, especially on gamedays this fall. Whether paired with warm, crusty bread or crispy tortilla chips, this six-cheese spinach dip will be a hit at your next party.
Ingredients:
16 oz. block-style cream cheese
2 cups chopped artichoke hearts
10 oz. frozen chopped spinach
1/2 cup of mayonnaise
1/2 cup grated Parmesan
1/2 cup Italian 4-cheese shred
2 cloves of minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella
Salt and pepper to taste
Cook spinach according to package directions and drain well. Mix together cream cheese, mayo, Parmesan, Italian 4-cheese shred, garlic, and garlic salt. Add artichoke hearts, spinach, and basil to the mixture. Stir until combined. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Spread dip into prepared baking pan and top with mozzarella. Bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly. If desired, place under the broiler to further brown the cheese, being sure to watch it closely. Serve hot with tortilla chips or crostini, and enjoy!
